Notes about the comic:

This was the first Cereal comic I drew, and the first time I drew all the band members. I used Stadler pencils on standard art paper to draw the people and objects, then scanned the images. I added the panels, color, and text in Jasc Paintshop, rather than letter and frame the comic by hand.

The first suggestion was a combination of groups that used a naming gimic at the time, which was numbers. Every band had to have a number in their name. I chose two of the ones I knew of first, Blink 182 and 7 Mary 3, but there were many other bands I could have chosen off MTV's daily lineup at the time.

There is also a reference to an SNL skit, in Eric's suggestion of Pearl Jam 2 and Sound Garden 2. ("Dude, bands don't have sequels.")
